Project title: “Supporting the multi-agency efforts on prevention of violence against women and delivery of comprehensive assistance to survivors in Moldova, including through economic empowerment programs”
Project’s goal: The project proposes a holistic approach to support services within the small-scale programs that will bring economic independence for project beneficiaries. The project will contribute towards strengthening the framework of essential services, through enhanced delivery of small-scale programs providing for economic empowerment component based on the Circular methodology. The quality of services offered to women and girls, especially from excluded groups, will be improved through the capacity building program implemented for at least 125 persons.
Finally, around 300 women from 5 selected districts will have enhanced knowledge about their rights and about available services for economic empowerment, through counselling, guidance, training and mentorship. The capacity building program and the small-scale programs for economic empowerment, will impact an important number of beneficiaries, the project brings innovative solution in pursuit of gender equality.
The project is implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova, with the support of UN Women Moldova and the financial support of Sweden.
